The Cayman Islands that I recently experienced is the one few spend the time to become acquainted with. Not the Caymans of snorkeling, diving, endless hours on the beach or stepping off a cruise ship for a quick visit. My Cayman Island travels -- aside from Grand Cayman, I overnighted on Cayman Brac and Little Cayman -- was all about wandering walking trails through the dense forests, spying exotic parrots, browsing contemporary art in the National Gallery, bicycling to an iguana nesting sanctuary, and strolling through orchid and palm gardens.
My short YouTube video slideshow provides a small window into the authentic Cayman Islands that I know.

It looks beautiful. I love that you get beyond the traditional tourist sites on your travels.
Sounds like a very interesting place with lots of various things to do. An iguana nesting sanctuary - I would think that was fascinating!
What incredible photos!
Lovely! What an incredible trip this must have been.
Hi Ruth, Yes, I really loved the nature-based adventures each of the islands offered.
Hi Brette, Yes, what usually happens is that most visitors go one way and I'm going the opposite way.
Hi Sheryl, There were so many iguana, all over the place. Even a sign for iguana crossing on the road. Cute!
Fantastic sculpture!
Beautiful. Especially this time of year when it's gray and dreary in northern Michigan.
Hi Jane, Yes, I could use some of this sun now, especially in cold, dreary New York.
Hi Melanie, I know, such an impressive sculpture.
