Anguilla In Pictures

Just 25-minutes from St. Maarten by ferry, Anguilla is blessed with some three dozen white sand beaches. I visited 20 of 'em, beaches for all personalities, whether you want nothing but utter solitude or prefer to wine and dine and socialize. And for all activities, whether you're a thrill seeker who wants to kite surf or you're eco oriented and interested in finding sea turtle nesting sites. With a low-key, intimate vibe; gourmet but unpretentious dining; and a sense of anonymity, if that's what you desire, Anguilla might very well be one of my favorite Caribbean islands. This should YouTube video slide show provides a window into my Anguilla experiences.

Gorgeous! We didn't get there when we visited St Maarten. It's nice to see what it is like.

Oh, it's lovely. Especially at our end-of-winter grayness here in Michigan.

Hi Brette, I actually didn't get to see St. Maarten. Was just there to board the ferry. I'll have to check it out next time, in addition to revisiting Anguilla, which I adore.

Hi Sheryl, I liked Aruba as well. Did a lot of off road adventures as well as hiking/walking in the national park.

Hi Jane Louise, Yes, the winter has been a most dreary one, in New York City, too. It's always good to get a window of heat and sunshine.

Hi Roxanne, I'm in lovely Iceland right now where the weather is hardly spring time. I could use some hot weather right about now, too.
