I'm very much about what I call the "Who Knew" factor. Whether I'm strolling the streets in my hometown of
New York City or bicycling in
Denmark, I'm always on the lookout for surprises so that I might exclaim, "Who knew?" And this sensibility carries through to cruise trips as well, where I want to land in smaller ports, engage with a staff that provides a lot of interesting and, hopefully, surprising historical context, and have the opportunity to participate in three of my favorite activities: walking through parks and gardens, as well as hiking and bicycling.
Zegrahm Expeditions is an adventure travel company with cruises that fit the bill for me. They are very much all about the "Who Knew" factor.
Check out my article that appears in the
Huffington Post about my cruise through the Baltics with Zegrahm. I traveled with such a smart staff that I'm sure my IQ got a boost.
I was only in Copenhagen for a short time but your pictures make me want to return!
ReplyDeleteHi Irene, The cruise didn't include Copenhagen but Bornholm, where we did dock, was a great place for cycling.
ReplyDeleteI love these photos! What fun, whimsical art. And I'm with you; a " who knew" moment is among life's most sweet surprises.

ReplyDeleteHi Heather, Yes, the cruise and all the discoveries were amazing. Thanks for your compliments on my photos.
ReplyDeleteWhereever that view out the window is, I want to go there!
ReplyDeleteHi Vera Marie, I took that photo from the window of a glass studio in Bornholm, Denmark.
ReplyDeleteSmall ship cruises offer so many opportunities. Looks like you found several fun ones in the Baltic.
ReplyDeleteI love the cat on the roof. Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteHi Donna, Yes, a small cruise provides so many advantages for me, including being able to dock in tiny ports, and having the staff know everyone's name as well as likes, dislikes and idiosyncrasies.
ReplyDeleteHi MyKidsEatSquid, Thanks. Glad you liked 'em. When I saw the cat, I thought it was pretty cool, too.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. Makes me want to go there.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jane. I found that there was so much to discover around every turn.
